Afro-Cuban Funk band PALO! released their third album, Yo Quiero Guarachar and features standout guest performances by Descemer Bueno, Aymee Nuviola, Pedrito Martinez and Roman Diaz.
PALO! is comprised of Latin Grammy-nominated vocalist Leslie Cartaya, Latin Grammy-winning saxophonist Dr. Ed Calle; leader/pianist Steve Roitstein, and virtuoso Cuban percussionists Philbert Armenteros and Raymer Olalde. Together they the bring the passion and energy of Afro-Cuban music combined with funk and jazz that make PALO! one of today’s most innovative groups.
The album release anticipates the group’s upcoming European tour in July; they will be performing in Paris, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, and as the “Sponsor” band at France’s prestigious Tempo Latino Festival. The five-piece group has enjoyed recent sold-out shows and festivals in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston, Tampa, Canada, Louisville, and of course, their hometown, Miami.
